The official club website has announced this evening that Ben House has joined the Imps. The striker joins from non-league, Eastleigh on a long-term deal. He joined Eastleigh from Reading a few years back and has attracted interest from multiple EFL clubs in the past year.
Michael Appleton views the deal as on for the future, he quoted on the club official site, “We’ve clearly strengthened a lot in the forward areas already this window, but what I like about Ben is he’s young, he still has a lot to learn, and he will be our player beyond this season. Ben is not yet the finished article but he has excellent attributes which we can develop and he can play in more than one position, so he will add great depth and more options to the squad for the rest of this season.”
House becomes our sixth and most likely last signing of the window, with only the departures of our young players on loan expected in the next week.
