MA Injury Update On Key Defenders

Michael Appleton delivered the latest injury news to the press this morning ahead of Morecambe’s visit to Sincil Bank. Most importantly on our two key central defenders, Joe Walsh and Adam Jackson. After months of being sidelined Joe Walsh is set to be back in the matchday squad, which is excellent news. The last game Walsh was involved in was our 1-0 defeat to Wimbeldon, where he was taken off at the half-time break. Despite this good news, it seems a day doesn’t go past without bad news on the injury front, Adam Jackson has picked up a calf injury and looks like he might be out for some time.
We take on Morecambe tomorrow night, who have Cole Stockton in their ranks. If you aren’t familiar with the striker, he has eighteen goals this season in a relegation threatened team and he is hard to deal with at the best of times even with top defenders and tomorrow night we lack our best aerial centre-half, so the absence of Jackson will be felt.
Regan Poole is also a doubt according to MA, as is Ted Bishop who will most likely be out with his ongoing groin injury, which he is having a scan on. TJ Eyoma and Cohen Bramall both started the last game and appear to be fit, as is the case with Max Melbourne, Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Jamie Robson.
On a side note everyone needs to get down to the ground tomorrow and support the players in this tough period, tomorrow is a massive game, probably the biggest of the season so let’s be the 12th man.
Just a small piece from me, as the site has been going through some routine updates and unfortunately that happened straight through the weekend so I was unable to put out a match review but there shouldn’t be any issues going forward.
