It’s been a busy few days for the imps on the goalkeeper front with news of outgoings and potential summer incomings. I thought I’d round up all the information in this article, which also includes where the information has been sourced from.

Firstly, Jordan Wright is being linked with a move away from City to Championship high-flying side Queens Park Rangers in the summer. The 23-year-old signed for the imps in January to be second choice to allow Sam Long to head out on loan, but due to Griffiths’ picking up a season ending injury and Sam Long being unable to be recalled, Wright has had to step up and impressed with three cleansheets in six games, the best of any City goalkeeper this season. Despite being described as Appleton as not easy on the eye, the shot-stopper hasn’t wasted any time to impress with scouts from second tier sides making “regular checks”. (Footballinsider)

While we may unexpectedly lose Wright in the summer, you may have missed some news earlier this week on potential incomings. In a BirminghamLive article, the ex-imps stopper Palmer was brought up, who is reportedly “being eyed by Lincoln boss Michael Appleton, who had him on loan last season.” While the news of a potential return of the highly impressive loan keeper might excite some, it may be a journalist coming to quick conclusions. Palmer has not stepped up at West Brom like he was expected to, mostly due to Sam Johnstone staying in the summer and he has been third choice for much of season, making one appearance against Arsenal in a heavy defeat.
