Michael Skubala spoke about the latest injury news in his pre-match press conference ahead of City’s midweek encounter with in-form Blackpool.

City picked up a 2-0 win on Saturday away from home against Cambridge, with Freddie Draper and Bailey Cadamarteri scoring their first goals of the 24/25 campaign from the bench. Draper was called upon in the 6th minute when Ben House was forced off with an injury.

House was involved in a collision with Cambridge goalkeeper, Vicente Reyes, and was forced off, holding his nose. Speaking to BBC Radio Lincolnshire, Skubala revealed that the 25-year-old has a potential broken nose and will be out of action for at least a few weeks.

He said: “Ben has been to hospital, it looks like a broken nose so that could be a while. It could be a couple of weeks, it could be longer so we need to get fully assessed.”

Despite House being out, alongside long term absentee Tyler Walker, City have plenty of options in the forward areas. Draper and Cadamarteri scored at the weekend, Jovon Makama has started the campaign strongly and Rob Street will be itching to get a chance after signing from Cheltenham Town in the summer.

Skubala also gave updates on other ongoing injury problems. Dylan Duffy won’t be part of the squad that travels to Bloomfield Road on Tuesday, while Ethan Hamilton and Reeco Hackett are progressing but still aren’t near the point of selection yet.

“Dylan Duffy is still out, still struggling with injury. The flu lads are back [in training] so thats good news so a few bodies back. Hamo [Ethan Hamilton] and Reeco [Hackett] are still not quite ready yet, but they’re getting there.”
