Michael Appleton delivered his usual update to the press this morning ahead of this weekends trip to Wimbledon. The most significant news was that Josh Griffiths is likely to be out for the season.

Griffiths looks to be out for six weeks with ankle ligament damage and despite him potentially being available for the end of the season, MA thinks his parent club, West Brom, won’t risk another injury and will be cautious with him. “He’s not our player so I imagine West Brom will take that decision out of our hands and he won’t be available for any part of the season.”

Jordan Wright started our game on Tuesday, but due to the number of games he has played, we can sign an emergency loan. An emergency loan would have to be from a football league club, which we saw when we signed Joe Bursik last season for the play-off semi-final.

Rules say that emergency loan goalkeepers have to play, so City need to find someone reliable and with more experience than Jordan Wright.

Recalling Sam Long is not an option.
