Surprise Name Leads the Pack: AllLincoln MOTM Midseason Recap
An update on the AllLincoln MOTM as we surpass the half-way point of the season.
City passed the half-way point of the 2023/24 season a few weeks ago, so I’m providing an update on the AllLincoln MOTM standings.
The AllLincoln MOTM is chosen by me after every game City play in all competitions. I have slightly neglected updating the MOTM stats, so here is an update that is correct as of the 24th January 2024.
TJ Eyoma leads the way in AllLincoln MOTM awards received with a staggering seven. The defender was a positive spark in a poor run for City over the festive period, with impressive performances against the likes of Stevenage and Barnsley.
Ethan Hamilton is currently in second with four. The midfielder has been an impressive addition to the squad following his transfer from Accrington Stanley in the summer. He won the first AllLincoln MOTM of the season against Bolton, and has added to his tally against Carlisle, Fleetwood and Derby.
Three players are tied on three for the season. Lasse Sorensen, Ted Bishop and Adam Jackson have all been amongst City’s most consistent performers over the course of the campaign. Two of Bishop’s MOTM’s came in the month of December as he returned from injury, while Sorensen earned two of his in cup competitions. Jackson is heading towards his best season in an Imps shirt after signing a new deal in the summer, the central defender won back-to-back MOTM’s in January against Blackpool and Wycombe.
Alex Mitchell and Reeco Hackett are on two each, alongside the recently departed Hakeeb Adelakun. Mitchell earned one of his with an impressive performance against West Ham in the Carabao Cup; the Millwall loanee did score in the game, but it was disallowed for offside. Adelakun’s most notable performance before leaving on loan was against Charlton, where the winger scored two goals against his former manager, Michael Appleton to earn his second MOTM of the season.
Ali Smith, Danny Mandroiu, Dylan Duffy, Ethan Erhahon, Jack Vale, Lukas Jensen and Jack Burroughs all have one to their name. Oisin Gallagher earned his first AllLincoln MOTM on his full debut for City in the EFL Trophy against Derby, while Joe Taylor was named MOTM on his home debut last weekend against Derby at Sincil Bank.
Ben House, Freddie Draper, Jack Moylan, Jaden Brown, Jay Benn, Jordan Wright, Jovon Makama, Lewis Montsma, Paudie O’Connor, Sean Roughan and Tyler Walker are yet to secure a MOTM this season as we go into the second half of the campaign.
