Mide Shodipo and Jack Vale have left Lincoln City as part of the club’s official January transfer window activity.

Shodipo resigned for the Imps on a short term deal in October, and has made 7 appearances in his second short spell at the club. The winger was brought in to help combat the injury crisis, with Tyler Walker, Ben House and Reeco Hackett all missing vital periods of the season.

Mide’s first spell with the Imps was a loan spell in the second half of the 22/23 season. Signing from QPR, he had a big impact at the end of the season, scoring in big games away at Derby County and Plymouth Argyle. Despite not getting as many opportunities this season, he did score a late equaliser against Port Vale at Sincil Bank in Tom Shaw’s final game as interim head coach.

Jack Vale has also departed the club, returning to parent club Blackburn Rovers. Vale joined the club due to Ben House and Tyler Walker picking up long term injuries in the summer. The striker featured 17 times for City, scoring twice, including in a 3-0 win over Cambridge United in Michael Skubala’s second victory as City head coach.

In addition, Morgan Worsfold-Gregg leaves the Imps to pursue further education at university in America and Julian Donnery leaves at the expiry of his two-year scholarship.
